Today we talk with The Colony RB Tony Peoples. If you don't have a premium membership to TexasPrepInsider, you are missing out!!!

Despite flying under the radar for the most The Colony's Tony Peoples is one of the top backs in the DFW area. The 5'10 170 pound back put up some monster numbers as a junior rushing for 1812 yards and 14 touchdowns and he added another 3 scores receiving.

Peoples who is a three year letterman for the Cougars sports some impressive measurables as he bench presses 260 pounds and he squats 455 pounds. Peoples also has some major explosion as he has a 35 inch vertical leap.

Tony, who is also a member of the TCHS basketball team describers himself as a slashing runner with good vision. "I am really good at finding the cutback lanes, this summer I really want to focus on getting faster and stronger," said Peoples.

As things stand right now Peoples says Texas A&M is his favorite, but Nebraska, Kansas and Oklahoma are also in the top tier of schools. This summer look for Peoples to attend camps at Oklahoma and Texas A&M along with playing seven on seven for The Colony.

As for choosing a school, Tony says he'd like to play in a tough conference like the Big 12 and academics will be key for the future business major. The final decision on where Tony will land won't take place until after the 2008 season. "I am totally focused on starting up a tradition at The Colony and getting us to the playoffs, personally my goal is to set the school rushing record."
