North Crowley has some serious talent returning for 2008 and one key member of the Panthers defense is DL Marvin Foster. The 6'2 267 pound senior to be with 4.9 speed in the forty has the ability to play both DT and DE.

Foster who sports a 365 pound bench press earned first team all 4-5A honors as a junior registering 67 tackles and 5 sacks. Marvin is also a member of the NCHS track team where he throws the discus. The NCHS DE says his explosion off the ball and his intensity are his two biggest strengths. "This summer I really want to work on being better with my hands and shedding blocks a little better," said Foster.

As things stand right now Texas A&M is in the lead to land Foster, "I really like the atmosphere there and the new staff," said Foster who also lists TCU, Oklahoma State, Baylor and Stanford as his top five. Look for Marvin to attend camps at Texas A&M, TCU and Baylor this summer in addition to participating in the NCHS off-season program.

Foster says academics, atmosphere and how he gets along with a school's coaching staff as major factors in his decision which likely won't be made until after the 2008 season. "I'm really hoping we can make a run at district and make a playoff run this year, and personally I'd like to make all-state.
