Another in a talented group of Class of 2009 prospects at Lancaster High School is DB Joshua Brown. The 6'0 188 pound senior to be with 4.45 speed in the forty yard dash earned second team all 15-4A honors for the 6-4 Tigers last season. Brown who sports a 365 bench press and a 32 ½ inch vertical leap is going to be counted on to lead the talented LHS secondary in 2008.

Josh who also plays baseball for LHS describes himself as a very aggressive player who is strong in run support, "This summer I'd like to really get stronger and work on improving my stamina," said the Lancaster DB.

Brown has his list of top schools narrowed down to four as Oklahoma, Nebraska, Utah and Wake Forest are all in the mix to land the talented defensive back who has the ability to play corner or safety. Josh who has already visited Nebraska this summer says he also plans on visiting Baylor and Oklahoma.

A decision on where Josh will land likely won't come until the end of the summer at the earliest, "I don't want to rush to make a decision and I probably won't make it until after I finish up my visits. I want to go to a school where I feel comfortable with a family atmosphere and of course academics are important to me and my family also," said Brown.

In 2008, Josh hopes he can lead Lancaster to their first playoff appearance since 2005. "Winning district is most important, we've been in a tough district the past few years playing Waxahachie, Ennis and Corsicana so I think we'll be ready to do well in our new district."
