On offense PG returns six starters highlighted by a pair of first team all-district WR's in C.J. Broades and Logan Ashby. Junior QB Antonio Graves will pilot the offensive unit and with good size and speed if he develops the Hawks will be dangerous. FB Braxton Langdon is the other key skill player, Langdon was second team all 16-3A. The main area of concern is along the offensive line.
The defense for the Hawks returns 7 starters and Broades leads that unit also. Broades posted 119 tackles and 3 INT's earning first team all-district honors on the side of the ball also. The front seven is paced by the LB corps of Shane Anderson and Colton Wood both of who were over 100 tackles in 2007.
Pleasant Grove and Liberty-Eylau will once again be at the top of 16-3A and they'll fight it out for bragging rights. Pittsburg suffered heavy losses and might not be quite at the level they were last year and Atlanta simply has been down. If the Hawks get good play at QB they'll be in the mix for a district championship.
