On offense Graham will rely heavily on QB Case McCoy who had a sensational sophomore season throwing for 2010 yards and 22 touchdowns. McCoy's legs will also be counted on to pace the Graham offensive attack along with RB Cody Parilla. WR Hubble Allen had a strong sophomore season catching 38 passes for nearly 500 yards. The offensive line is anchored by Blake Jordan who could be a Division 1 prospect, but there are major questions up front as reinforcements from a 9-1 JV Squad will be counted on.
Graham has rebuilding to do on defense as well with just 3 starters back. The top returner is DE Ryan Calhoun who was second team all 6-3A as a junior. Jordan who won't start on defense will see time in spot duty as he notched 4 sacks. There are many questions at the other positions however and that will make or break the Steers this year.
With the likes of Brownwood down from 4A and two 3A State Semi-Finalists in Abilene Wylie and Snyder and traditional power Sweetwater, Graham is looking at a murderers row of a schedule. If Graham's young players can navigate the tough district slate and the Steers can pull an upset over one of the favorites they could sneak into the postseason.
