2008 Team Insiders: Klein Bearkats

Experience will likely come hard and fast for this Klein team as many of the team has not felt the Friday Night Lights as of yet. But either way, the Bearkats look to line up and be competitive. So what's in the cupboard after graduating plenty of Division I talent? TexasPrepInsider has the previews for all of your favorite teams.

With six starters returning for the Klein football program, it seems as though this team may have to go through a few growing pains this season. Meaning coach Stan Labay will have several players on the field who have little to no experience on the varsity level.

But the Bearkats do return one of the best players in the district with wide receiver/safety Tyler Boss, who was All-District on both sides of the ball. Offensively, he caught 17 passes and a touchdown and on defense he led the team in tackles (54) and interceptions (3).

Judging from the past summer, it seems as though Klein may use two different quarterbacks, Clayton Crum and Jamie Peebles. It will be interesting to see who will get the starting nod this fall. At the running back position, junior Dekota Barnes returns after gaining 126 yards last season. Also look for sophomore Keshawn Hill to get some touches. Leading the way on the line is Brandon Laubach.

Up front defensively, Joe Piranio leads the way while linebacker Kevin Kisseberth is one to keep an eye on.
