On the offensive side of the ball Kilgore will rely on a punishing ground game as the Ragin' Red possess a couple of big time backs and an experienced and punishing offensive line. Frank Reddic who was 1st Team All-District, leads the ground game and Trevor Moon is a solid second option. The offensive line is big and physical with four all-district performers returning. If there is one question mark its the passing game as Kilgore may struggle in that area.
The Kilgore defense will by typical Bulldogs, fast and physical. DE Dominique Jones who has orally committed to Texas will be the headliner of that unit but keep an eye on LB Javarri Kelly who is solid in run support but can also play the pass.
Expect Kilgore to be an 8-2 type team, the non-district schedule is tough but not too daunting. Marshall, Carthage and Gilmer will all test the Bulldogs. 14-4A is a solid district and I expect Kilgore to fight it out with Whitehouse for the district championship.
