Coach Don Price and his Barbers Hill Eagles will be looking to get back to their normal winning ways in 2008. The Eagles finished an uncharacteristic 6-4 last season and missed the playoffs for the first time since 1998. They saw the playoffs every year from 1999-2006 and in that time they amassed 5 undefeated regular seasons. 11 total starters return for "The Hill" this year that will lead a talented group of underclassmen into the Friday night wars in district 19-4A.

Offense

The offense for Barbers Hill returns 6 starters from last year's team that averaged 31 points per game. The Eagle offense will be led by QB Tony Carmona. Also look for big things from Offensive Lineman Matt Peterson up front. In a district full of high powered offenses the Eagles will need to continue the offensive output from 2007 to be successful. Wide Reciever Jordan Stelly (5-10, 165, 4.7) has the break away speed to make things happen on Offense. The Eagles will continue running the spread Offense and Coach Don Price says " With the skilled players coming back we should be much improved this season. "Our Offensive Line will be one of our main strong points says Price", these kids have worked their tails off this offseason.

Defense

The Eagles have 5 defensive starters back for 2008. Last season the BH defense allowed 25 points per game. A big part of the Barbers Hill defense in 2008 will be two way star DB/WR Jordan Stelly. Barbers Hill will need some of the underclassmen to step up big on the defensive side of the ball this season in order to have a shot at one of the 4 playoff spots in 19-4A.
