Coach Bomar hasn't had much success in Callisburg - but he has increased numbers and instilled work ethic into the program. The team returns 12 starters and 14 lettermen. The team will have good experience and a lot of players will be asked to play both ways.
Clayton Love is the quarterback. He has good vision and pocket presence. Thor Long led the freshmen team at QB and will step in if things don't start well for Callisburg. Cody Harmon (soph) will battle at running back. The offensive line has pretty good size led by Ryan Smith, Josh Goodwin and Kirk Wilson. Jarred Brooks, a 300 pounder will play both ways as well. Dylan Johnson leads the team at linebacker. Jamie Brinlee and Bobby Dorman help round out the secondary.
10-2A is a hybrid of teams with 3A teams dropping down and 1A teams moving up. It will be a ride range of talent. Pilot Point has to be considered in and Callisburg will be part of that second tier with Aubrey and Pottsboro. I think Pottsboro is the #2 team and Aubrey and Callisburg will be playing for the third spot.
