District 19-5A: Week 4 Predictions

TexasPrepInsider.com has returned for the 2008 football season and we are bringing back our weekly predictions of you favorite teams. Check out who we feel will come away with a win this week. And best of all, you can enjoy this content for free.

Aldine Eisenhower vs. Kingwood
With a couple of weeks of rest and a 0-2 record, the Eisenhower team is looking break the prior trends. But an interesting fact is, here are two teams that are completely opposite offensively. While Eisenhower has been able to move the ball passing but struggle on the ground, Kingwood has a rushing attack that averages 200 yards a game, but very few passing yards. Judging by how the teams match up, I would say that the Eagles have the edge.

Look for the Eisenhower defense to step up their run defense and allow the offense to make the necessary plays to win the game.

Aldine Macarthur vs. Humble Atascocita
Coach Dean Colbert has the Eagles team rolling with a 2-0 start. They are faced against a run-happy offense in Macarthur. Atascocita should not have much trouble here as the General have had a hard time putting points on the board and really have not been too effective offensively. Look for Xzaviar Jackson to have a big game.

Aldine Nimitz vs. Houston Madison
Seems like the Cougars are on a roll and now the challenge of one of Houston ISD's best in Madison is next up. This will showcase quarterbacks Broderick Thomas Jr. of Madison and Nimitz's Zerick Rollins, both of whom are dual threat athletes. The Cougars will likely rely on their string ground game featuring Marion Grice and Co., which will open up the passing game for Rollins to make it happen.

Humble vs. Aldine
So far, and the record shows it, both of these teams have faced off against some of the top teams in the city. The Mustangs are still looking for win No. 1. And while they have always been known as a fight-until-the-end team, I think that the Humble squad comes away with the win. It will be interesting to see whom the Wildcats go with at the quarterback position. But judging from the statistics, they are in good hands with any of the three.
