Each week here at TPI we take a look at the upcoming match-ups across the area. We break it down on a game by game basis by district, and give you the inside track on who to watch, and what games to see. This week most schools in the area are looking to get their seasons back on track after Hurricane Ike.

Thursday's Game

Willowridge (0-1) vs Hightower (1-0)

The Willowridge Eagles are coming off a 23-7 loss in week 1 against Madison. In their only action thus far Daniel Wilson caught the only touchdown of the season from QB Dontrail Carter.
The Hightower Hurricanes are led on offense by Miami commit AJ Highsmith and SMU commit WR Darius Johnson. Defensively the Hurricanes are loaded with A&M commit Colton Valencia, Ole Miss commit Dele Juniad, Rice commit Alex Francis, Navy commit DE Kelvin Jackson, and DE Jelani Johnson. In the Hurricane's week 1 win the defense scored on an Interception return, and set up another score with a fumble recovery.

Prediction: Hurricanes by 24

Friday's games

Bush (1-0) vs Clements (0-1)

The Bush Broncos were lead by a ferocious defense in their fist game of the season. The defense accounted for 3 turnovers and 13 tackles for a loss. The Broncos were lead on offense by a trio of running backs in Donovan Penny, Byron Newman, and David Epperson who rushed for 145, 122, and 110 yards respectively.
The Clements Rangers were lead by QB Steve Hamner who threw for 3 touchdowns in a week one loss to Pasadena Memorial.

Prediction: Broncos by 17

Dulles (0-1) vs Elkins (1-0)

The Dulles Vikings are lead offensively by QB Zach Lathrop and running back Jarell Oliver who accounted for 109 rushing yards in week 1 including a 50 yard touchdown run.
The Elkins Knights are lead by QB Dean Brantley who threw for 235 yards and 2 touchdown in week 1. Two of Brantley's favorite targets were Nick Harwell (9 catches for 94 yards 1TD), and Jordon Jolly (4 catches for 88 yards 1 TD). Keep your eye on Jolly who is emerging as a top prospect in the 2010 class.

Prediction: Knights by 14

FB Marshall (0-1) vs FB Austin (0-1)

The Marshall Buffalos who are led offensively by recent Arkansas commit Knile Davis who had 90 yards rushing and 1 touchdown in the Buffalo's week 1 loss to Lamar.
The Austin Bulldogs are guided this year by quarterback Daniel Rockett, and are anchored along the offensive line by SMU commit Ben Hughes. RB Kolton Koether had 114 all purpose yards and 1 touchdown in the Bulldog's week 1 loss.

Prediction: Buffalos by 7

Saturday's Game

Kempner (0-1) vs FB Travis (0-1)

The Kempner Cougars were lead in week 1 by QB John Shalala and QB Paul Nguyen who both accounted for 1 touchdown in a week 1 loss to Pearland.
The Travis Tigers who are in their first year of varsity play, lost a close game to Katy Morton Ranch 23-20. The Tigers were lead by QB Alex Bynum who threw for a touchdown, and RB Jamal Branch who ran for another score.
