The Clear Brook Wolverines are coming off a 41-30 win over Clear Creek in which the Wolverine offense rushed for 377 yards. QB Lane Berry lead the way with 113 yards on the ground and 3 touchdowns. The Wolverine defense shut Clear Creek out in the second half to lead the charge on the come back victory.
The Dickinson Gators are coming off a 28-7 win over Alvin last week to open District play. The Gators Quarterback Brody Trahan had 238 yards of total offense (169 passing, 114 rushing) and 2 touchdowns. The Gators defense is only giving up just over 15 points a game.

Alvin (0-3 0-1) vs Brazoswood (1-2 0-1)
The Alvin Yellowjackets come into this weeks action still looking for their first victory of the young season. The brightest spot thus far for the Yellowjackets has been Ashton Jefferson who has rushed for 509 yards on the season for 4 touchdowns. Fans should keep an eye on Jefferson as he is primed for a breakout game.
The Brazoswood Buccaneers are coming off a 12-7 loss to Clear Springs last week. The margin of victory could have been worse had Clear Springs not hurt themselves with penalties so much in the second half. Senior running back Travis Lundy has received a bulk of the carries this season and is averaging about 4.5 yards a carry with 4 touchdowns.

Galveston Ball (1-0 0-0) vs Clear Creek (1-2 0-1)
The Galveston Ball Tors finally get their season back on track this weekend after missing 3 weeks due to the effects of Hurricane Ike. The Tors won their only game thus far this season and were led by QB Richard Sincere and running backs Damion Britton and Jason Holmes. Sincere had a great game rushing for 86 yards and 2 touchdowns and also had a 75 yard kick-off retun for another score. The Tors defense held La Marque to 23 yards on the ground in week 1.
The Clear Creek Wildcats come off a loss to 41-30 loss to Clear Brook last week in which they played a great first half, but had some letdowns in the second half. The Wildcats continue to be led offensively by QB Marcus Mata (519 yards passing 3 TD's 77 yards rushing 1 TD) and his wide receiving corps of D.J. Gipson, Brent Comardelle, C.J. McElroy, and Chris Collins.

Clear Springs (3-1 1-0) vs Clear Lake (2-1 0-0)
The Clear Springs Chargers are coming off a 12-7 victory over Brazoswood. The leader of the Charger offense is pretty clearly Philip Miller who has thrown for 439 yards and 2 touchdowns and rushed for 262 yards and 4 more scores. The Chargers will look to reduce some of the penalties that slowed them down in the second half of last weeks game.
The Clear Lake Falcons are coming off a 31-13 loss to The Woodlands last week. The Falcons triple option attack has ben somewhat effective as usual this year led by QB Eric Canas with 303 yards rushing and a TD. There has been a host of running backs for the Falcons this year, but the clear leader thus far has been Jarred Mack who has rushed for 391 yards and 3 touchdowns.
