District 13-5A: Week 5 Predictions

TexasPrepInsider.com has returned for the 2008 football season and we are bringing back our weekly predictions of you favorite teams. Check out who we feel will come away with a win this week. And best of all, you can enjoy this content for free.

Spring Westfield vs. Klein Forest
One of the city's top running backs (Klein Forest's Dominic Wilkins) faces off against a tough Mustang defense. And while Wilkins will likely have a good night on the ground, the Eagles may have a pit of trouble in this match up. Westfield quarterback Jacoby Walker has been on point through the air with Adam Watson as his primary target. Look for those two to hook up quite a few times in a winning effort.

Spring vs. Spring DeKaney
After last week's district game against Westfield, the DeKaney team will have another lofty task ahead in a match up with Spring. And once again, the Lions should win this one handedly. Look for Kenric McNeal-to-Dakota Dill connection to be in full effect.

It's okay, every school goes through the early years hard knocks.

Klein Oak vs. Klein
With the result of Klein's game last week, it is hard to get a read on how the team is progressing. But, a win is a win. But this week the Bearkats are going against an undefeated Klein Oak team that is probably a little hungry for action. In this one, I see Oak coming out on top. Panther running back Ossam Cook is tearing it up averaging almost 200 yards a game.

Klein Collins vs. Tomball
Aside from the Klein Forest/Westfield game, this may be one of the better match ups in the district. Collins, a team that was playing solid before last week's outcome, has used a large combination of players to win games, especially in the running game. While for Tomball, Garrison Wilson, Chad Tarhini, and Jordan Leslie set the tone offensively.

Even though defensively the Tigers seemed to be the stronger team (giving up a little over seven points a game), I think that Tomball will air it out to earn the win, but not by much.
