District 21-4A: Week 5 Predictions

TexasPrepInsider.com has returned for the 2008 football season and we are bringing back our weekly predictions of you favorite teams. Check out who we feel will come away with a win this week. And best of all, you can enjoy this content for free.

Houston Davis vs. Houston Yates
When Scout.com went to see the Davis football team in the spring, coach Chuck Arnold had little depth, but loads of talent. It's obvious that he has put that to work as the Panther team is 3-0 and going into a match up with Yates. The Lions are coming off a loss to a good Westbury team and are looking to get back into the form they are used to. This will be a good game and should be a high scoreboard, but Davis is the team I see coming out on top.

Panther quarterback John Castillo has had the hot hand all season throwing for over 800 yards. Don't expect him to cool off this weekend.

Houston Reagan vs. Houston Waltrip
Right now Reagan is hot while Waltrip struggles. The Rams are seeking win No. 2, but I don't see it happening this week. Bulldog quarterback Howard Anthony is managing the offense well and has over 400 yards passing. Look for Anthony to have a big game and help the team move to 3-1.

Houston Sharpstown vs. Houston Westbury
Out of all of the district match ups, this one may be the biggest. Loads of talent on both squads. This game has the opportunity to turn into a track meet. With Sharpstown quarterback Sam Carter and Westbury running back Charles Sims, look for an exciting game that could go down to the wire.

On the defensive end, the Rebels may have a better interior play with big DeAnthony Sims holding it down. And he will have the lofty task of putting pressure on Carter. Makes for a good game, but the Rebels win in the end.
