Katy vs. Weston Cypress Bay (FL)
Taking the game to the big times are we? Katy will play the powerhouse Weston Cypress Bay team and the game will be aired on ESPNU. The Tigers are coming off a win and appear to start gaining a little momentum. After reading over a few articles about the Lightning team, it seems as though they lean more towards the run with Jason Douglas and David McKnight leading the way. For the Tigers, Michael Webber and Vernon Jeffries will look to do damage on the ground as well.
This is Texas vs. Florida people. And Texas high school football will always be king in my eyes.

Katy Cinco Ranch vs. Southlake Carroll
Talk about stepping outside of the box, Cinco Ranch has opted to play Southlake, in Southlake. Definitely a bold move and it should be a good game. Southlake quarterback Kyle Padron led the Dragons and is next in line of good signal callers through the system. Of course the Cougars have their own slinger in Shane Ros. I think this game will end up being a better match up than many would imagine.
It's a close call. Carroll is tough, especially at home so the Cougars have no room for mistakes and will have to be as close to flawless in every aspect of the game. Oh well, I'll take one for the team.

Katy Morton Ranch vs. College Park
It's safe to say that many believed that Morton Ranch would be good, but few could have predicated what has been going on over the past few weeks. Offensively, the Mavericks are quite sound with quarterback Joe Mitchell running the show. This week, the Morton Ranch defense will face a string ground game against College Park with quarterback Taylor Parsons leading the way. Should be a good one, but I think the Mavericks will pull this one off late.

Katy Seven Lakes vs. Conroe
These two teams may be considered to be polar opposites. While Seven Lakes has a deadly air assault, Conroe favors the ground game a little more. This will make for an interesting match up. The Tigers proved last week that they could rack up some points as they hung 56 on Westside, while Seven Lakes slipped by Baytown Lee. I see the advantage leaning towards Conroe. Look for running back Lou Greenwood (and a host of others) to wear down the Spartan defense and roll to victory.

Katy Taylor vs. Baytown Lee
Taylor has already handled one Baytown team, now the Mustangs meet up against the other. They are getting good production from Lee Rogers and Steven Sartory offensively. For the Ganders, Paul Martinez leads the way on the ground. It seems as though the Mustangs are on a roll right now and don't look for it to stop.
