Mustangs Lineman has offers, waiting for more

TPI traveled down to Friendswood Friday night to watch the Mustangs beat Dawson 61-28, and we caught up with Senior Offensive Lineman Colton Yuchnewicz afterwards to get caught up on his latest recruiting news.

The Friendswood Mustangs have become a virtual recruiting hotbed the last few years, placing a countless number of athletes amongst many respected College football programs across the country.

Mustang Offensive Lineman Colton Yuchnewicz has shared the playing field with many of these now college bound players, and now is seeing his own recruiting process play out.

Yuchnewicz who is 6'4 and weighs 310 lbs., is seen as a Guard prospect at the next level.

Friendswood came into the game with Dawson looking to grab a share of the lead in the race for the distict 24-4A title.

We caught up with Yuchnewicz after the Mustang's 61-28 win over Pearland Dawson on Friday night to get his thoughts on the win, and get the lastest recruiting news.

"We were real intense, we didn't come in with big heads. We have a couple games left, one home game, we are going to try to come into those games the same way we come into every game."

Yuchnewicz has also seen his value on the rise in recruiting as well.

"I went to some camps in the summer, I went to Kansas and University of Houston, and a couple minors. Right now I have offers from Utah, Arizona and UofH, but I am still talking to Kansas, that's who I am waiting on. Right now I would say my top two are Kansas and UofH"

Yuchnewicz and the Mustangs finish out the year by traveling to Alvin to play Manvel this week, then host Brazosport and finish out by traveling to La Marque.
