Thursday's Game

Dobie vs Pasadena

The Dobie Longhorns are coming off a tough 19-14 loss to La Porte last week. The Longhorns went into the fourth quarter of that game ahead 14-13, but could not hold on. The Longhorns are holding opposing teams to just over 81 yards passing a game, but have given up 190 rushing yards a game.
The Pasadena Eagles are coming off a 35-19 loss to Deer Park. The Eagles are just not a very competitive team this year and will look forward to week 10 to salvage the season with a win over hated rival Sam Rayburn.

Prediction : Longhorns by 10

Friday's Games

Deer Park vs Sam Rayburn

The Deer Park Deer got the wonderful news of getting running back Travis Carter back for last weeks 35-19 win over Pasadena. Carter promptly returned to form by rushing for 95 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win. The biggest challenge this week for the Deer will be not to look past Sam Rayburn to the big match-up with Pearland next week.
The Sam Rayburn Texans will look to get something going offensively after barely breaking the 100 total yards barrier in last weeks 21-12 loss to South Houston. The Texans are dead last in team defense, and team offense in district 22-5A.

Prediction : Deer by 24

South Houston vs Pearland

The South Houston Trojans have put themselves in a nice position for a play-off spot this year. They beat Sam Rayburn 21-12 last week, and depending on what happens this week with themselves and La Porte, the last game in week 10 could very well be for the final play-off spot.
The Pearland Oilers are coming off a 63-28 impressive win over Pasadena Memorial last week. The Oiler offense was firing on all cylinders for sure last week. Kasey Carrier had over 300 all purpose yards with four touchdowns, and Sam Allen threw for almost 200 yards and 3 touchdowns. With what should be an easy win here, the Oilers will set up the big match-up with Deer Park next week for all the marbles.

Prediction : Oilers by 24

Saturday's Game

Pasadena Memorial vs La Porte

The Pasadena Memorial Mavericks really need a win this week to secure their ticket to the play-offs. The Mavericks play La Porte, and South Houston in the next two weeks and thise are the two teams nipping at their heels in the district standings. The Mavericks can gains some seperation in the next two weeks with wins.
The La Porte Bulldogs are coming off a hard fought 19-14 win over Dobie last week, and find their teams destiny in their own hands. Wins = Playoffs for the Bulldogs.

Prediction : Mavericks by 10
