Katy Seven Lakes vs. Katy Morton Ranch
Another Hurricane Ike rematch goes down in the district with Seven Lakes and Morton Ranch. Both teams have taken some hard knocks from the district since the last face off so that makes this interesting. With that said, look both teams to come out firing on all cylinders to try and take that early lead. Morton Ranch' Joe Mitchell will have at least 200 all-purpose yards in this one with Michael Vinson not far behind. The Spartans will counter with Dalton Livingston and Anthony Kendrick doing their thing as well.
But I see the Mavericks having the edge as the Spartans showed a couple of mental errors in the special teams. Look for this game to by one with a lot of scores. It will become a track meet with the Mavericks pulling it out in the end.

Katy vs. Katy Taylor
Well in case you did not get the memo, the Tigers are back and have been back and now face off against a scrappy Taylor team. Taylor's Lee Rogers and Steven Sartory lead the way as they go into a gridiron match up with Katy. The Tigers' performance last week displayed how strong the ground game is with Vernon Jeffries and Will Jeffrey in the backfield.
Look for the Tiger train to set the tone with Jeffrey and Jeffries with quarterback Parker Ray as the conductor.

Katy Cinco Ranch vs. Katy Mayde Creek
While I do not claim to be a judge and use past occurrences to make current decisions, but the Cinco Ranch team proved to be way too much when these two faced off during Hurricane Ike. True, that was a tragic time for most, but the Shane Ros-led Cougars have been on fore the last couple of weeks. And not to toot the offense too much, but the defense has given up only 14 points the last two weeks. That alone has me sold.
Defense sets the tone and offense takes care of the rest. Cougars roll.
