District 21-4A: Week 10 Predictions

TexasPrepInsider.com finishes the 2008 football regular season with our weekly predictions of your favorite teams. Check out who we feel will come away with a win this week. This is free content so enjoy.

Houston Yates vs. Houston Waltrip
Years of tradition lie in this game for the Lions as their hopes of returning to postseason play comes down to these 48 minutes. A win for Yates would force a three-way tie (if Austin loses) and the Lions would have to have the point advantage favoring them.

And while the Lions have struggled quite a bit this season, I think that they will pull out the win. Defense will step up and running back Reginald Perry will set the tone on the ground. Keep in mind that Yates will have to have a seven-point cushion to get into the fourth spot.

Shouldn't be a problem.

Houston Davis vs. Houston Milby
District play is over and the Davis team has already clinched a playoff spot so the game against Milby must be simply a tune up. And despite the fact that the Buffs are a 5A team, the Panthers can still get with them.

Houston Westbury vs. Houston Austin
Not a lot to say about this game other than the fact that Westbury will win, big. The Rebels already have the district title and the top seed going into postseason play. Charles Simms will run wild and have 100+ yards.

And won't even play the second half.

Houston Sharpstown vs. Houston Reagan
Win or lose, it seems as though Sharpstown is in the playoffs as the Apollos face off against the district-winless Bulldogs. Here is another game where the score could get out of hand and fast. Sam Carter will have his way and the Apollo defense may even pitch a shutout.
