There are three players that will definitely see the the field on Saturday, and a couple others have a shot at it.
Coaches I have talked to are very excited about Devontae McNeal. He had a great season and has a lot of raw talent - just no one around him to help him out. He may be a little undersized for a major college program, but a lower level program might take a risk on him.
This all-area team is a Rice dominated team. Rice has commits from two different players on this team - Cody Bauer and Alex Lowry. Both were mainstays on their team this season. They are academic all-district players as well - and both blocked for solid running backs this year.
Jarman Johnson's primary position for Pilot Point is as a running back. He has a couple of D1 kids blocking for him as well - players we may be talking about in a couple of days as well. Most recruiting people project him as a defensive back. I think that if he is offered as a running back somewhere, that he might take it - but he is more suited physically as a defensive back. I don't know if he has the speed to be a top tier defensive back. It will be interesting to see if he is utilized as a wide receiver next season for Pilot Point.
