Texas Tech enjoys the DFW Third Team offense. Perhaps our friends at should be sponsoring this all-area team. Texas Tech has offered both Zach Lee and Scotty Young - both are very talented juniors. Both led the most explosive offenses in the area. Zach Lee is a little bigger - and stands in the pocket well, but I don't think he scrambles as well as Young does. I think Zach Lee will pick up more offers next season as he is a prototypical stand in the pocket with a big arm type of person. Baseball might lure him away as well - as he could be an early draft pick out of high school which pays good money. This summer will be big for Zach and his decision making process. I've met Zach's mom, so I can vouch for the quality of this young man. (His mom is very nice and sweet too - for those that are wondering!)

Tech has also offered third team running back Keldon Hampton. Hampton comes out of the same mold as Tech breakout receiver Michael Crabtree, and Tech may see flashes of him in the Kimball running back. He led Kimball back from a winless start to a playoff run.

Skyler Scott at one point in July held over 26 offers - and he probably holds more now. The kid can play and his coaches always compliment him on how well coachable he is. He did "dance" from high school to high school though. Darian Hogg, the Air Force commit, helped lead Arlington Seguin to a playoff run and victory this season. He is a solid commit to the service academy. Clayton Cooper, the talented Springtown receiver, does not have any offers yet but has shown a strong interest toward Missouri.

The offensive lineman are good but not great. Four of the offensive lineman, Austin Woods, Nick Hawkins, Blake Holland and Chris Burnett are all rated one star prospects by the gurus of None have any listed offers yet and may end up as walk-ons to continue their college careers. Blake Holland and Nick Hawkins have pretty good size - Hawkins might have the size of a defensive end. Chris Burnett also projects to the defensive side of the ball.
