Marshall's junior class is loaded with the leadliner being LB Aaron Franklin, but one player who could start to move up the charts is D.D. Clough.

Clough a 6'0 175 pound safety with 4.47 speed in the forty is a rangy defensive back who can cover a lot of ground in a hurry. In his first season as a starter he earned honorable mention all 13-4A honors for the Mavericks who did advance to the Class 4A State Playoffs.

D.D. plans on attending several camps this summer along with running summer track as he competes in the hurdles for Marshall High.

The future computer science major knows District 13-4A won't be easy again in 2009 with Class 4A Division 1 runner up and arch rival Longview, Class 4A Division II State Champion Sulphur Springs and perennial power Texarkana Texas High to contend with but Clough is confident. "We've got a lot of talent, we've just got to play hard and bring it every night, there's no off nights in 13-4A."
