This one should be a high scoring affair. Both teams had no trouble scoring the ball in week one. Lindbergh will be led by WR/S Diondre Toms and QB Matt Stuart. Stuart is one of the better young QB's in the state and the Eagles will try and ride his arm to the win. On the other side, Meadowdale will try and stick to their running game. I think Lindbergh prevails in the end.
Central Valley vs. #6 Mead, 4:45pm, Albi
I predicted Mead to win the league, but Central Valley was just behind them. CV is still without their starting QB. I think Mead wins but this should be a close one.
#7 Gonzaga Prep vs. Mt. Spokane, 7:15pm, Albi
Bishop Sankey will have even more of the load on his shoulders as the Bullpups starting QB went down last week. Mt. Spokane is a very good team, but I think that Sankey will prove to be too much for them.
Liberty must maintain the momentum it picked up in knocking off Skyline last weekend. Issaquah will be another tough test. The Patriot defense will again be tested through the air with the likes of Evan Peterson hauling in passes for the Eagles. I think the Liberty run game takes off and leads them to a narrow victory.
#8 Graham-Kapowsin vs. Gig Harbor, 7pm, Gig Harbor
Graham-Kapowsin travels to take on a Tides team that is high coming off a trouncing of their rival Peninsula in the Spaghetti Bowl. Troy Castle and Austin Seferian-Jenkins will be a handful for GK to deal with on defense. However I don't see Gig Harbor getting very many stops on defense, I think GK pulls away with this one.
This is a matchup that many fans have been waiting a couple of years to see. Old 3A rivals face off in a non-league contest Saturday at Memorial Stadium in Seattle. I think that Skyline rebounds from a loss to Liberty last week with a win. However, I would have concern over either of these defenses stopping one another; this could be a real shootout.
