Friday Night Spotlight

ESP puts together a list of the top games in the State of Washington this weekend. There should be a game in almost every area of the state…

Not as many top tier matchups this week as we have had in the past, but some big seeding games in conference…

Thursday Night
Kentlake vs. Auburn, 7pm, Auburn
Second place in the SPSL North is on the line. Auburn, the preseason favorite, is in jeopardy of losing three straight. Something not people would have considered possible before the year started. Kentlake has turned things around and is looking to bounce back from a close loss to Kentwood last week.

Friday Night
#4 Ferris vs. Mead, 8pm, Albi
Ferris can lock up one of the two 4A playoff spots in the GSL with a win tonight. Mead needs to win or gives up the opportunity to control their own destiny the rest of the way. Should be another great GSL game.

#10 Issaquah vs. Eastlake, 7pm, Issaquah
Issaquah needs to win to hold onto second place in the division. Eastlake still has dreams of a league title. A win against the Eagles would set up a big showdown with Skyline in two weeks.

#2 Skyline vs. Jackson, 5pm, Everett Memorial
This cross conference game has little playoff significance. However, this should still be a great matchup between two traditionally strong teams. Jackson is a bit down this year but should be up for the game and ready to play.

Liberty vs. Mercer Island , 7pm, Mercer Island
Two of the state's most dynamic passing attacks face off in this KingCo 2A/3A battle. Neither team can afford a loss in what has become a very tight and competitive conference.

Feel free to let me know how the games you attend go on our message boards. Have a great weekend of football…
