Madison Sets Official

Burien (Wash.) Kennedy athlete and Washington State commit Cole Madison has set his official visit to Pullman…

Burien (Wash.) Kennedy athlete and Washington State commit Cole Madison just wrapped up his senior season. The Lancers fell to Mount Si in the state quarterfinals last weekend.

"I think I did well, our team did well," said Madison. "We played our best and nothing can go wrong with that. I think I did a great job personally this year."

Madison committed to the Cougars before the season and that hasn't wavered since.

"I have an official visit set for January 18th," said Madison. "I talk to coach Russell the most. I went to the Oregon/WSU game at Century Link earlier this year."

Even with his commitment, it doesn't mean that other programs have stopped calling.

"There have been a couple, Arizona State and Washington," said Madison. "Neither have offered, just talks right now."

The 6'6" 260lbs prospect listed the reasons why he is so sure in his commitment to Washington State.

"Probably the relationship with the coaches, it seems like they want me there," said Madison. "They tell me straight up, no BS."

Scout projects Madison's highest ceiling as an offensive lineman, with coaches talking to him about tight end and defensive end. He broke down where he would like to play.

"My preference would be tight end," said Madidson. "If not, then defensive end."
