"I've made my decision," Kinne told Dawgman.com. "I'm going to be a preferred walk-on at Washington."
After a season where he rushed for 2,389 yards and 30 scores, Kinne had hauled in offers from Central Washington and Eastern Washington and was getting heavy interest from Hawaii.
"I was actually going to take a visit to Hawaii and they might have offered if I went out there, but when I talked to the Husky coaches, it was just too good of an opportunity for me to pass up," Kinne noted. "The opportunities at Washington after I get done with school and am done playing are going to be special and I really wanted to be part of what they are building there."
Kinne told Dawgman.com he currently measures in at 5-10.5 and he weighs 210 pounds.
"They talked to me about being a big back for them and if I keep getting bigger, that I could wind up being a fullback," Kinne said. "I'm fine with that if it comes to that, but I am hoping to be a running back there.
"Their offense is perfect for me and I have always liked the program and rooted for the Huskies."
Kinne will visit Washington on January 25th and plans to sign at the same time as his friend and teammate David Ajamu who is also committed to the Huskies.
