GIles perfect in Beach win

6-11 senior C.J. Giles is big and he came up big for top-ranked Rainier Beach Tuesday night. The future Miami Hurricane was perfect from the field, hitting all 15 of his shots and put 30 on the board as Beach beat Blanchet 52-36. Check out the highlights from a night full of league battles.

In KingCo 4A defending champion Franklin got Garfield 62-53. Lyndale Burleson scored 20 and had 8 picks.

Inglemoor hit the half-way mark undefeated at 10-0. The Vikes beat Roosevelt 68-64. Steven Anderson scored 19 and Ken Nwaelele added 14. Marcus Williams had 27 in the loss.

Redmond topped Bothell and broke the Coug's seven game winning streak. 6-8 senior post Stephen Ishmael scored 21 and fellow senior 6-2 guard Christian Yeager added 19. Micah Downs had 21 in the loss.

In the SPSL Federal Way handed Puyallup their first league loss 42-41. Morris Anderson scored 14.

In the GSL 8-1 Clarkston beat Lewis and Clark 56-46. 6-10 senior Josh Heytvelt scored 15. 6-3 senior wing Greg Spurgetis had 19 in the loss.

Ferris beat Central Valley 43-41. Jeremy Templeton scored 19.

In the Metro Chad Troyer had 22 as Seattle Prep moved to 9-1 with a 63-54 win over Chief Sealth.

8-2 Cleveland got 13 from Jamal Weems and took care of Eastside Catholic 61-54.

O'Dea beat West Seattle 74-35 behind Mitch Johnson's 26 points.

In the Seamount League Kennedy beat Hazen 87-78 behind 37 points by 6-3 freshman wing DeAngelo Jones.

6-3 senior wing Lael Johnson scored 26 as Renton beat Lindbergh 95-57.

In the Northwest League 10-1 Bellingham beat Anacortes 88-69. 6-4 senior Brandon Foote scored 24 and Tim Sellereit added 19.

9-2 Squalicum beat Sehome 62-50. Junior guard Aaron Dickson had 23 while fellow junior Dustin Jones added 17.

In the Pac-9 Timberline beat Tumwater 74-55. Nate Menefee scored 26.

In the Mid-Valley, West Valley beat Grandview 61-52. E.J. Schoen scored 23. Chris Mejia had 22 for the Hounds.

Selah spanked Sunnyside 62-35. Senior guard Erik Bell scored 22 and got the d-d with 13 boards. Erik also passed out 6 dimes.
