FOH 1-1 at Nike Memorial Day Classic

Seattle's Friends of Hoop are in the Big Easy, New Orleans, Louisiana, over the Memorial Day holiday weekend competing in the Nike Memorial Day Classic. 32 of Nike's top select teams in the Senior Division are fighting it out for the championship trophy.

Friends of Hoop is 1-1 with one game remaining in pool play. FOH lost a tight game 71-70 to the Tennessee Travelers. FOH led 37-32 at the half but the Travelers came on late to edge the Seattle squad. 6-11 Seattle Prep star Spencer Hawes scored 32 points while Federal Way's Ernest Williams added 11 points and Kennedy's DeAngelo Jones chipped in with 10.

Hawes had a double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds in a 74-62 win over Team Texas. Hawes matched up against 6-9 Darrell Arthur, Scout.coms's 4th ranked player in the Class of 2006, holding the Dallas prospect to 12 points.

The Tennessee Travelers lead the pool at 2-0 while FOH and Team Texas are both 1-1. NorCal Elite is 0-2.
