Linton, a 5-10 guard, made a pair of appearances in the state tournament during his sophomore and junior seasons. He averaged 19.5ppg as a senior, leading the Mavs to an 18-6 record. As a junior Linton led Meadowdale to a 23-5 record, 17-1 in WesCo South play, and scored at a 14.4ppg pace. Linton averaged 10ppg as a sophomore. Meadowdale brought home a pair of sixth-place trophies from state and reached the semifinals both years. Linton was first-team All-Wesco in both football and basketball.
Nixon, a 6-5 wing pictured at right, averaged 15.8ppg as a junior as the Hornets finished 20-6 with a trip to state. He averaged 6.8ppg as a sophomore with White River also making it to state. Nixon averaged 14.6ppg as a senior for the 16-12 Hornets, who made their third consecutive 3A state tournament appearance. He was a two-time Seamount League Pierce Division MVP.
