The 2005 Emerald City All-Star affair will be held at Franklin High School on Sunday June 19 and will feature over one dozen future Division-1 athletes and at least one future NBAer.
Players include Mickey Dee's All-Americans Martell Webster (Seattle Prep), Jon Brockman (Snohomish) and Micah Downs (Juanita). Also playing will be Garrison Carr (Issaquah), Mitch Johnson (O'Dea), Jordan Sutton (Bethel), Brandon Moore (Bethel), Terrence Williams (Rainier Beach), Artem Wallace (Toledo), Josh Wilson (Mark Morris), Conor Mullen (O'Dea), Leigh Swanson (Mountlake Terrace), Jake Linton (Meadowdale), Aaron Boyce (Kentwood), Marc Williams (Renton), Ryan Staudacher (Lake Washington), Stefan Johnson (Kent-Meridian), James Cradle (Mount Rainier) and Humberton Perez (A.C. Davis).
There will also be a special appearance by the University of Washington men's basketball team as well as members of the 1979 World Championship Seattle Supersonics.
The hoops mania opens at 3:00 p.m. Sunday with the 3-point shootout. 3:30 is the always popular Emerald City Dunk Fest. The All-Star game tips off at 4 o'clock. Tickets will be available at the door.
Prior to the 3-point contest, championship games for 6th through 8th grade squads will begin at 11:00 a.m.
