Friday Night Gridiron Star: Justin Glenn

Kamiak was just one win away from a playoff berth before their game against Meadowdale last Friday Night. Meadowdale gave Kamiak all that they could take, but Kamiak's Justin Glenn would not accept another week of playoff uncertainty. The Kamiak senior was a clutch performer on Friday night, leading his team to victory as well as into the playoffs.

After his senior season, Justin Glenn may never take a handoff again. The University of Washington bound Glenn will play in the secondary at the next level, but on Friday night the Kamiak Senior was dynamite on offense, helping to lead his team to a 38-35 win over division foe Meadowdale.

Glenn was productive all night on the ground for Kamiak, rushing for 197 yards and three touchdowns. The timing of his touchdowns made Glenn's night all the more impressive. All three of his touchdowns gave his team the lead, including a game winning touchdown with five minutes left in the fourth quarter. That five yard touchdown was his shortest scoring run of the night, as his other two touchdowns came 52 and 54 yards out.

For the year, Glenn now has 915 yards and 19 touchdowns on 96 carries, leading the way for a talented Kamiak team. And although he may have not been much more productive statistically, his clutch play when his team needed him to come through, and made him last week's Friday Night Gridiron Star.

Next week, Kamiak has another big division game at Mariner High School, with the winner taking over second place in the Wesco South division.
