Pele Stays Busy

Update from Auburn (Wash.) Riverside linebacker Jake Pele's camp circuit including Washington and Idaho…

Pele spent the last two weeks camping at Idaho and Washington. While Pele is from the Seattle area and likes Washington, Idaho is showing more serious interest. Pele is still waiting for an offer but was pleased with how the Idaho camp went.

"I took my unofficial visit on Monday. It was a great campus, the weight room was HUGE!! During that visit I got to hang out with lots of the players from Idaho (such as former ARHS football player's Oga Faumi and Max Komar)"

The Idaho coaches worked him at a variety of positions throughout the week. Pele mentioned learning the Idaho offense and defense took a bit of time. By the end of the week he had it down and earned all-camp honors.

The one thing that impressed Pele the most while camping at Idaho was the coaching staff. He mentioned how impressed he was with the family atmosphere.

"Their staff is as real as it gets, they're all energetic and one thing I realized is that all of them have good relationships with the Idaho players, which I like.

Pele said they are recruiting him as a LB right now but depending on how much weight he can add this season that may change. Pele said that Idaho is still number one on his list and he is trying to set up a official visit as soon as possible.

Pele thinks a big senior year is what Idaho is looking for.

"No offer yet but I feel like strong senior year and some more strong showing at camps, it could be on the way from them!"
