Finnish inventor Heikki Kärnä came up with the design for the Leveraxe while spending long days clearing his land. As the red head strikes the log, the rotational force pushes downward and outward (instead of just downward, as with a traditional ax or maul), making quick work of splitting wood. It’s surprisingly lightweight, and because the head is so efficient, you exert much less physical energy getting the job done.
