Balsamic Onion Jam

Serve with steaks, burgers and sandwiches, or as a condiment to sharp cheese.

Combine 2 cups chopped onions, 1/4 cup water and 1/2 teaspoon salt in medium skillet. Cover and cook over medium heat 15 minutes or until onions are softened. Stir in 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar and 1/3 cup white balsamic vinegar. Cover and cook over medium-low heat an additional 15 minutes or until thick and syrupy.
