Spoon Me: A Smart Trick

No more hand picking herb leaves for cooking. Cooking Club member Pamela Martin shares a time-saving tip that utilizes a slotted spoon.

"I used to hand-pick leaves of herbs off their stems to use in cooking; this was slow and inefficient," says Pamela. "Then I discovered that my slotted spoon was the perfect tool for the task. To remove the leaves from herbs like rosemary, thyme, sage or oregano, stick the stem through one of the holes and gently pull it through. As the stem goes through the hole, the leaves come off easily."
