Grilled Beef with Herbed Sea Salt and Garlic

You should be able to find herbes de Provence in the spice aisle of your grocery store. If not, substitute two teaspoons dried basil, marjoram, rosemary, sage and/or thyme.

2 teaspoons coarsely chopped garlic
2 teaspoons herbes de Provence
1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 1/2 lb. beef sirloin, 1 inch thick

1. Heat grill. On cutting board, chop together garlic, herbes de Provence and rosemary until finely minced; mix in salt. Sprinkle herb mixture over both sides of steak. Let stand 5 minutes.

2. Place steak on gas grill over medium heat or on charcoal grill 4 to 6 inches from medium coals. Grill 10 to 14 minutes for medium-rare or until of desired doneness, turning once. Cover loosely with foil; let stand 10 minutes. Cut into 1/2-inch-thick slices.
