1/3 cup chopped precooked bacon
1/3 cup finely chopped sweet onion
1/3 cup sweet pickle relish
1/4 cup sliced sport peppers or pepperoncini peppers
1 teaspoon celery salt
6 fully cooked bratwursts (look for light-gray brats with thin skins)
6 large poppy seed or sesame bratwurst buns, split
1/4 cup yellow mustard
12 kosher dill pickle planks
6 tomato slices, halved
1. Heat grill. Combine bacon, onion, relish, peppers and celery salt in small bowl.
2. Grill bratwursts, covered, over low heat or coals 6 to 8 minutes or until browned and heated through, turning to brown all sides. Toast buns on grill during last 1 to 2 minutes of grilling until golden brown.
3. Spread buns with mustard. Top each with 2 pickle planks, 2 tomato halves, bratwurst and relish mixture.
