2 oz. Scotch (single malt or blended)
2/3 oz. Cynar
1/3 oz. Toschi Nocello (or other nut-flavored
liqueur, such as Frangelico)
1 dash salt solution (3 parts water to 1 part kosher or sea salt)*
Stir all ingredients in a mixing glass; strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
*Pip says: The more broadly you engage the flavor spectrum, the more successful a dish or drink will be. Hence, chefs throw a pinch of salt into a cookie, a dash of sugar into tomato sauce, a bit of spice into chocolate, etc. Salt in this drink adds a totally unique element. You don’t need much to make the drink pop.
