Pizza with Spicy Salami and Dried Tomatoes

Pizza with Spicy Salami and Dried Tomatoes


8 oz. purchased pizza dough
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 large clove garlic, minced
1/3 cup marinara pasta sauce
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 cup grated Romano cheese
1/3 cup julienned oil-packed sun-dried tomatoes, patted dry
1/4 cup sliced pitted Kalamata olives
1/2 cup diced provolone cheese
2 1/2 oz. sliced spicy salami, about 12 (2 1/2-inch) slices*


1. Arrange oven rack in bottom position. Place pizza stone or heavy baking sheet on bottom oven rack. Heat oven to 500ºF. for at least 30 minutes.

2. Roll out dough to 12-inch round. Place on parchment paper.

3. Mix olive oil with garlic. Brush on dough.

4.Top with pasta sauce, oregano, Romano cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, olives, provolone cheese and spiced salami.

5. Slide pizza with parchment paper onto pizza stone. Bake 8 to 12 minutes or until bottom of crust is golden brown.

6. Using tongs, slide pizza onto baking sheet.

TIP *If you can’t find hot and spicy salami, use regular salami and sprinkle the pizza with crushed red pepper before baking.
