College football fanatics, add this to your bucket list of places you must visit. The brand spanking new College Football Hall of Fame, which opened its doors to the public on August 23, is destined to become the next must see destination.

The monument to America’s game on the collegiate level features historic and modern artifacts, a children’s area, a theatre, meeting and event spaces. Officially christened the College Football Hall of Fame and Chick-fil-A Fan Experience, the facility modern interactive multimedia displays throughout the 94,000 square foot structure in the heart of downtown Atlanta.

The hall of fame immerses fans in the game the moment they walk into the building from Marietta Street. Entering through a long winding tunnel, the entrance gives visitors the experience of walking into a college football stadium on a Saturday afternoon. The Chick-fil-A “Why We Love College Football exhibit features a 52 foot tall touch screen wall which displays many of college football’s greatest moments throughout the decades. Elsewhere the Coca-Cola Fans’ Game Day allows visitors the chance to feel the excitement and pageantry on campus, including tailgating, digital face painting, marching bands, fight songs, mascots, cheerleading, and other traditions.

Those eager to show off their own skills can visit the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Skill Zone, which includes a 45-yard long field and an array of physical activities. Fans can also get a glimpse of John Heisman’s playbook from 1905, take their turn in the broadcast booth making one of the game’s epic calls, and learn about college football’s positive impact at The National Football Foundation’s Building Leaders through Football Exhibit.
