Longtime reader first time poster. What happened to the post on problems at Ft Scott. Did it get out of hand and was deleted. Was trying to follow story here and on trib comments. Hope not. Figured either here or there maybe some details might come out. Just wondering.
It's part of the "heads in the sand" mentality. FSCC is not the only football program with issues, but their p.r. onslaught is laughable and demonstrates exactly what those players were trying to communicate to the Trustees. Maybe FSCC will go public with what the players said, especially if they post their minutes on their website. Funny how the reporter chose to get quotes from FSCC admin but not one quote or any specific detail from any of the players testimony. Odd.
"negative crap" is your perspective on these discussions. there has been lots of negative news about programs posted on here in the past. to the kids or parents of kids who have gone through some of these issues at FS, it is positive that it is finally being discussed.
so, it's fine for you to not like that it is being discussed, but using moderator privileges to selectively delete posts and topics just because you don't like them is unprofessional and misses the point of even having a forum.
if we wanted a bunch of sunshine pumpers for our jucos, we'd simply go listen to our cheerleading squads... because isn't that their point -to cheer on and say positive things about the teams and schools? there has been too much talk circling the FS program with regards to these matters this year to simply dismiss the discussion of them as "negative crap."
this isn't a brag forum about success of former players (although i do enjoy seeing the posts when they come up)... this is a forum to discuss the current activity in the KJCCC. Unfortunately, the situation(s) at FS are one of those things.
this topic was a witch hunt from start to finish. this is based on a newspaper article with very few facts included. you bring in a bunch of (100+) young men (not kids) there are bound to be some who are not happy with their experience. there is not a single program in the kjccc that has 100% happy squads or perfect angels on the team.
judging from the comments on this site, it is all about cheerleading for a few select programs and bashing others. why is it not acceptable to post positive stories about fscc? more schools should highlight their former athletes as proudly. these stories show athletes who, under the same coach, made personal growth and moved on to bigger and better things where they are exceling...and ..what's this,,have postive things to say about their former coach! perhaps the original ft. scott reporter should have spoken to some alum, or other current fscc football players...ones who were actually still on the team.
thumbs up to the moderator for keeping the forums a positive place to be.

So Jeff Sims threatened to sue a person for posting about him on a message board that 10 people post on? I have a good amount of perspective on this matter and it is clear to me that coaches like him are destroying the Jayhawk Conference. Posters/fans/players/parents should blow the whistle when they see a foul.
His bizarre splashing of Fort Scott fluff is further proof the man is insane. I could handle one or two but to just puke 40 is plain weird and a glimpse into his thought process. The consumers/customers of JCfootball.com and the parents and future players in this conference have the right to adjust the demand of a program that is clearly out of control.
If there's ** really ** something foul going on then go straight to your school ADs and presidents, start writing letters about what you know to the local papers, and most of all to Fort Scott's AD and president.
If only 10 people look at and post on this board, then the impact you're seeking won't come to fruition.
Let's give the Magnificent 10 some real news about the conference.
So if someone gets caught in a scandal or gets fired, can we not post that information because it's negative? If a thread that contains facts -- whether positive or negative -- is getting deleted, then maybe the word needs to get out to another message board. I would think that an article that was posted in the Fort Scott paper was "real news" but I guess not.
If only 10 people look at and post on this board, then I guess Jeffrey's impact was minimal. Don't tell me he doesn't post or read this board, because my inbox tells me differently -- or at least the poster sending it to me was impersonating him. And threatening to sue? Seriously? Sue who for what? If I'm a guilty party, then maybe somebody needs to go back and read who started most of the threads that were "attacking" him. He'll have to compile a long list and hunt those posters down. The only thread I started occurred in 2008 and at least had two sources that personally dealt with him in that incident. I don't come on here making things up just for show.
