The North`s playoff system is a class A F U........ its a joke !!! #1 ranked team in the north doesn`t make the playoffs while the team that is ranked #1 and beat CCSF in a lopsided game in a head to head game sits home............
Butte should be in the Norths` championship game not CCSF........ the playoff format should be at least a 4 team agenda not the stupid system they now have.... when will the ADs and coaches quit cheating all the players that play the game and put their egos aside for an equitable playoff system ???
Why isn`t Coach Rush, Coach Jordan, Coach Hatch and the rest of the coaching community demanding a 4 team playoff format ?? They should be leading the push for an equitable system for all players that play the game at the JC level .............
BC fan................ gadesrule makes more sense than you do........ yep, we all on this board have said many times how much the norths` play off format sucks........ bcfan55 is 55 the year you played or jersey # or your age ???
Just because I called you out on your own RE-POST.....gadesfool makes more sense? IMPOSSIBLE.......I was just trying to help you out 'cause Refhekler was about to use his famous beating a dead horse cartoon
BTW '55 was the year BC opened Memorial Stadium - and I WAS THERE and have been there for 55 years........AND NC65 the math is right - missed two years for military service
So My only REAL point is - I've seen playoff formats come and go, conferences change and change back....and there are ALWAYS some that feel the current form NEEDS to be changed
I, myself, just like JC Football - no matter what form it takes - However I do like the 6 team format if both north and south would use it
You called me out on my re-post ???? WoW........... So, you spend your time sniffing around MM and now your telling people what and how many times to post ??? Your at Mountiemans` site way too much its starting to wear off on you.
I have posted on the playoff format before as many others have also and that doesn`t preclude posters re posting subject matter. You, as an administrator at Mountiemans` new site certainly should know that.............
And, yes I would rather read Gadesrule posts as he at least was straight forward in his posts.................
I would like to see the north and south line up for a playoff format, six teams each . . . I always felt the north had an advantage of playing one less game, able to rest, while the south beat up one another . . . Also, for fairness and determing the best team, a neutral site somewhere in Central CA with TV coverage . . . Fans should be willing to travel the 3 hours vs 6 hours . . .
The same format north and south is a no brainer........... well, except for the powers that make the decisions...... we are all on the same wave length so we need to demand an equitable format for all the student athletes that participate in JC football in the state !!!! 6 teams would be ideal but at least a at a minimum, 4 team structure......
I like the stadium proposals . . . BC and Fresno . . . How about along the coast, I believe Cal Poly SLO seats ~22,000 fans . . . What are the seating capacities for BC and Fresno? Just love the drive to central CA on 99 and 101 along the coast. Indeed a neutral site produces a true champion and your fan base and fan loyalty is tested.
BCFan can correct me ............ BC`s Memorial Stadium seats about 18,000 as a guess. Games have been est. at 20,000 plus Long Beach vs BC........... end zone seats put up and additional seats in track area....
It was originally designed to hold 16,500. An expansion bumped it to 19,468
However, Ncoast65, you are right on about the temp seats
According to the BC archives…..
'76 BC Vs COS (Potato Bowl-I think) 21,035
’68 BC Vs LB 18,949
’66 BC Vs LB 18,463
From 1978 to 1988 we had 20 games over 18,237 and a few after
Memorial Stadium’s largest crowd ever was 23,000 for a high school football game between Bakersfield High School and Bishop Amat Memorial High School in 1994.
And sadly Ncoast65……..the Shriners’ Potato Bowl never to be again
The STATE JC FOOTBALL know it alls a few years back started charging a $5,000.00 fee to put on a bowl game. When the Shriners asked for a waiver, because ALL the proceeds from the game went to the Shriners Children’s Hospital for Kern County KIDS, THEY said NO – END OF THE POTATO BOWL

There is president for a neutral field for a California State JC Championship game.
In 1971, Santa Rosa JC played El Camino for the championship at
(just for you “HAM” the score was ELCamino 48 – Santa Rosa 14)
“The state athletic organization had demanded an upfront payment of about $9,500 for the privilege of making the game part of the newly revamped state playoffs, according to Ned Driggers of the local Shrine office.”
