Coleman gets off to a fast start in 2010

Copiah-Lincoln DE/LB Terrance Coleman (6-1.5, 247) is off to a fast start so far this season. After just two weeks, he's already posted three sacks and he told that he's hoping to set up some official visits in the next few weeks to some of the schools that have already offered...

Last night, Co-Lin defeated Holmes 28-9 and Coleman posted two sacks and five tackles in the win.

"We've got a lot of speed and talent on defense," Coleman told "It's hard to handle us because we will come at your from all angles and different places."

Coleman's specialty is getting to the quarterback and as a freshman the talented pass-rusher posted 37 tackles, 10 sacks and 14 tackles-for-loss.

"I love hitting the QB," Coleman said. "I love getting the big play and making it for my team. It always takes the will out of the offense and frustrates them if they can't get the quarterback free to make plays."

Coleman claims offers from six schools (although he admitted he only can remember five -- Texas Tech, Tennessee, Tulsa, Memphis and Kentucky) and said he's hoping to find out soon which ones he'll visit this fall.

"If they are close I will probably set up a visit with a school after we play a game on a Thursday," Coleman said. "I'd like to find out which school wants to bring me in, but right now I don't have any set up.

"I will probably do that this coming week, sorta firm things up with some schools and see when they want to bring me out."

Coleman is on pace to be able to sign with a school in December and he'll have three years to play two wherever he ends up.
