Two visits set for Garden City's Couch

Until two weeks ago, Garden City DT Maurice Couch (6-2, 295) hadn't played a game of football in almost two years. He's off to a good start for the Broncbusters and, while he's focused on his season, the talented defensive lineman recently set up his first two official visits and is working on setting up two more in the very near future...

"We're 1-2 right now, but we've played some tough teams and our offense is struggling a little bit right now," Couch told JCFootball.com. "I'm off to a good start though; I have 10 tackles and a sack so far and that's with dealing with double and triple teams, so it's been tough."

Couch prepped in Orlando, Florida, so growing up he followed the SEC and he'll be visiting at least two programs from that conference this fall.

"I set up my visit with South Carolina for November 27th," Couch said. "I've got a visit to USC set for October 9th and I'll visit Tennessee and Kansas too.

"Kansas will be my last visit for sure, but I don't know who the fifth visit will be to because I like a lot of different schools."

In addition to those four schools, Couch has offers from schools across the country including recently pulling in full rides from Texas A&M, Southern Miss, UNLV and Louisiana Tech.

"It's been a little crazy since the spring, but it's flattering that coaches like me that much," Coach admitted.

Couch is on pace to finish his AA in May of 2011 and he'll have three years to play three wherever he ends up.
