Murray returns to Mt. SAC

Once he arrived in Stillwater, current Mt. San Antonio S Malcolm Murray (6-2, 210) decided he wasn't happy with his decision to sign with Oklahoma State, so he returned to Walnut, California to play in the system that helped make him into a top JUCO safety prospect and he wants schools to know he's available again and can sign with a school in December...

"Things just weren't right for me there at OSU," Murray admitted to JCFootball.com. "I didn't like the system and I felt like if I had a chance to do it over again, which I did, I would choose differently."

Murray took part in spring football with the Cowboys, but returned to Mt. San Antonio over the summer and has been a fixture in the Mounties' deep patrol this fall, notching 20 tackles and two interceptions while helping to lead his team to a 5-0 record.

Murray said a few schools know he's returned to Mt. San Antonio and have let him know they are watching what he's doing this fall.

"Hawaii told me they are really interested in me and they like the fact I can be out there in January," Murray said. "UCLA is recruiting me a little and Cincinnati and Oregon State are both looking at me.

"I was going to trip out to Nevada this weekend, but when I finally got in touch with the coaches, they said it was too short of a notice, so they want to bring me out at the end of the season so they are another school that likes me."

Murray is on pace to finish his AA degree in December and he'll have two years to play two wherever he ends up.
