Navarro's Henderson talks recruiting

It's been a while since we've caught up with Navarro DE Cameron Henderson (6-5, 250) and since we last spoke to him he and his Bulldog teammates have gotten off to a 6-1 start and they are poised once again for a run at the National Championship. He's also got six offers to his name and an ACC power could be on the verge of extending an offer as well...

"The season's going well," Henderson told recently. "We're 6-1 and just focused on getting a National Championship."

From an individual standpoint, Henderson has been solid this season for Navarro, posting 42 tackles and 4 sacks and the team is allowing just 156 yards per game on defense.

On the recruiting front, Henderson has offers from six schools and could see one from an ACC power.

"Texas Tech, Baylor, Southern Miss, Arizona, Mississippi State and Louisiana Tech have all offered me right now," Henderson said. "Florida State is real close and they could be offering real soon.

"I talk to D.J. Eliot the defensive ends coach down there and he and I get along well. He wants me to come visit soon and I'm working on setting up a visit with them, we just have to coordinate it."

Arizona offered back in September and Henderson said he'll be visiting the Wildcats in November to check them out.

"I'm visiting there on the 20th of November to see what they are all about," Henderson said. "They offered me and I really like the coaches there and feel like it's a good program."

Henderson signed with Auburn out of high school and ended up leaving after his freshman season there.

He will finish up his AA degree in December and have two years to play two wherever he ends up.

This weekend Navarro takes on NE Oklahoma A&M before finishing the regular season on October 30th against Trinity Valley.
