Baldwin is a ball-hawk for Moorpark

He isn't the biggest prospect in the secondary, but there's no doubting that Moorpark CB Brian Baldwin (5-9, 170) has the ball-skills to be a real playmaker at the next level. So far this season that talented DB has hauled in five interceptions and he's locked down his side of the field for the Raiders this season...

Baldwin prepped at Camarillo (Ca.) High School and didn't get much in the way of recruiting attention so he headed to Moorpark in order to continue playing football.

Since he arrived, Baldwin has played both corner and safety for the Raiders and this year he's had a huge season in the secondary posting 5 interceptions and 35 tackles while helping his team to a 5-2 record.

"A lot of my success comes from watching film and hustle," Baldwin told JCFootball.com. "I study a lot of film and because I'm not the fastest guy in the world, I have to always hustle and never give up on a play."

Because of his measurables, four-year schools have been reluctant to show much in the way of interest, but that may increase down the road.

"All I can do is go out and play football," Baldwin said. "I'd love to play at the next level and show what I can do."

Baldwin is on pace to graduate in May and he'll have three years to play two wherever he ends up.
