Chabot's Brown hauls in first two offers

During the spring, Chabot DE Sean Brown (6-5, 245) burst onto the recruiting scene showing quickness and the ability to get to the quarterback to go along with his prototypical size. Fast forward to the fall and earlier this week, the talented defender hauled in offers from a WAC and a Sun Belt program and more schools could be on the verge of getting in the mix as well...

"I just wanted to let you know that I got offered by North Texas and Utah State earlier this week," Brown told JCFootball.com recently. "They offered me and said they like me a lot and I was planning to visit Utah State the second or third week of December, but it looks like that is a 'dead period' for JC recruits, so we're talking about which week I can come out to visit."

In addition to the two schools that have offered, Brown is getting serious looks from Idaho, Florida Internation, Stony Brook and Western Carolina as well.

"I just sent Idaho my film, so they are just starting to notice me and recruit me and FIU just started calling too," Brown said. "I'm open to everyone, but I also need to focus on the schools that are the most interested in me."

As a freshman last fall, Brown was solid for Chabot posting 20 tackles and 4 sacks in three games and this fall, in five games he racked up over 20 tackles and 5 sacks, but a concussion has forced him to make a decision he didn't want to have to make.

"I got a concussion and I started running and my head was all foggy, so the doctors said I need to just ease up and rest and let it clear before I do anything," Brown said. "If we make a bowl game, there is a slight chance I could play in it, but it all depends on how I respond to the rest."

Brown is on pace to graduate in December and he will have two years to play two wherever he ends up.
