Patton picks up another offer

One of the top JUCO programs in the country this year has been Coffeyville and one of the reasons they've been so explosive is the contribution of WR Quinton Patton who leads the Red Ravens in receptions. JCFootball.com got an update on recruiting recently from the talented wideout and he let us know when he plans to take his visits…

"I've got two offers right now," Patton told JCFootballl.com. "I got offered in by South Florida early in October and then Troy just offered me real recently.

"Besides those schools, I'm getting calls from Tennessee State, West Virginia, UCF and a few other schools too."

Currently, Coffeyville is 8-0 heading into a big matchup this weekend against Hutchinson and Patton leads the Red Ravens with 38 receptions while ranking second with 572 yards receiving and 4 touchdowns.

"I felt like I've had a good season, but I still have a ways to go," Patton said. "We're playing really well as a team and we have a lot of explosive players with Duron (Carter) and guys like that."

Patton said he doesn't plan to take a visit until his season is complete, but he knows he wants to take at least two to see the two programs that have offered.

"I definitely want to get there and visit the schools to check them out," Patton said. "We're so busy in our season, I just don't think any visits will happen during before we finish up and that's fine."

He will finish up his AA degree in December and he will have two years to play two wherever he ends up.
