Osunde having a standout 2010 season

After a rough start to the season, Kilgore clinched a playoff berth last week with a win over Tyler and CB Junior Osunde (5-11, 190) had a big game for the Rangers with 14 tackles and 1 interception. JCFootball.com caught up with the talented cover-man and he updated us on things...

"It's going good right now, especially since we are going to the playoffs which was one of our goals," Osunde told JCFootball.com. "I have eight career picks here and I still have one or two games left, so I still have a chance to finish off big here."

So far this season, Osunde has 31 tackles and 2 interceptions after posting 51 tackles, 10 passes defensed and a conference leading 6 interceptions as a freshman.

On the recruiting front, Osunde is still waiting on his first offer but said schools like Southern Miss, New Mexico, Iowa State and Utah State have continued to keep in touch.

"I'm hoping to finish off my career here strong and then I can really focus on recruiting," Osunde said. "After the season I will set up some visits and just see where things stand."

Osunde will finish up his AA in December and he will have three years to play two wherever he ends up.
